Recipe ingredients

  • Semi-sweet chocolate chips, 1 cup (6 ounces)
  • Butter, 10 tbsps.
  • Powdered sugar, 1 ½ cups
  • Flour, ½ cup
  • Whole eggs, separated, 3
  • Egg yolks, 3

Preparation method

Firstly, have the oven preheated to about 425 ºF. Then grease soufflé dishes or 6 custard cups (6 oz.) and place them on a baking sheet. Take butter and chocolate in large microwaveable bowl and microwave for about one minute on medium heat, until butter gets melted. Whisk and stir until the chocolate gets completely melted. Now add sugar of 11/2 cups and flour and mix them thoroughly. Include six egg yolks and beat them until they get fully blended.

Take another clean bowl and whip egg whites till there is noticed formation of stiff peaks. Use rubber spatula, fold gently the beaten whites within the chocolate mixture. This should be done until the white streaks are not noticed any longer. Now, pour this mixture into the prepared cups.

Bake the cake for about 14 – 15 minutes or until the cake edges becomes firm. But its centre needs to be soft. Allow it for a minute and then take a small knife and run around the cake for loosening it. Unmould carefully onto the desert plates. It can be served warm with the favourite topping.
